Review summary

Based on recent reviews

Tanes Hotel is often described as a good value option for visiting Cardiff, offering clean and decently sized rooms equipped with amenities like tea, coffee, and biscuits. Many guests appreciate the comfortable beds and the convenience of having a fan available. While the hotel is walkable to the city center, about a 30-minute walk, it's also close to a bus stop with frequent buses to the center; some guests have noted the surrounding area appears a bit run-down. Overall it's considered a simple and convenient place to stay.

poor wifi limited parking

THE advertised high-speed wifi was not available in the room. A staff member confirmed this. Parking was included, BUT spaces were scarce. I had to park on THE street ignoring the staff's suggestion. The room faced THE corridor's ever-on light, disrupting sleep. Pipes are noisy when other guests use the bathroom.
